Although we may enjoy the cool winter air, this weather is the harshest for our skin. Be it normal, oily or dry, it doesn’t spare anyone. There are a host of products that guarantee you the desired moisturizing relief for your skin, but fail to do so. So you’ve spent lots of money on these beauty products but are unsatisfied? Here are some quick homemade moisturizers that work out cheaper, but should give you better results. Don’t believe us? Well, try it yourself.

1. Moisturizers with Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is the ideal natural moisturizer for any kind of skin. The below recipes that use aloe vera can work wonders.

For normal skin: You need about 4 tbsp of aloe vera gel and 1 tbsp of almond oil. Mix these well and apply regularly on your face.

For dry skin: Take around 4 tbsp of aloe vera gel, add a few drops of rose oil (you can get these at ayurvedic medical stores), 1 tbsp of almond oil and 1 tbsp of olive oil. Mix all the ingredients well and use. This works great for dry skin.

2. Body Moisturizer with Olive Oil

Now for a general daily body moisturizer, you need to take 1/3 cup of milk, 2 tbsp of lime juice and 1 tbsp of olive oil. Mix all the ingredients well and store it in the refrigerator. This moisturizer works wonders for oily skin too. Use it on a daily basis as a body moisturizer.

3. Face Moisturizer with Coconut Oil

Take about 1 tbsp of coconut oil, 1 tbsp honey and 1 tbsp of lemon juice. Mix it well and refrigerate for longer shelf life.

Ditch the chemical-filled lotions that not only burn a big hole in your pocket but also do nothing great for your skin. Now is the time when you can try out these homemade moisturizers with ingredients that are easily available in your pantry or refrigerator. And of course, let us know your feedback, if you try any of the recipes above.
