1: Raman Raghav
Raman Raghav was a serial killer in Mumbai. He killed children, adults with a baton ruthlessly. He was also popular with names like Sindhi Talwai, Thambi, Veluswami, and Anna. He first killed 19 people between 1965 and 1966. Then the second round of murders took place in 1968. Later, he got arrested on September 27, 1968, by Maharashtra Police. He was accused of killing 41 people; he confessed that he had done 41 murders by smashing their heads and breaking their jaws with a baton. This news gets very popular at that time. 2: Amarjeet Sada
Amarjeet Sada is a serial killer who has committed three murders at the age of only eight years. He has been accused of three murders in a span of twelve months, and one of them was his own baby sister. He was accused of killing three infants, an 8-month-old sister, a 6-month-old cousin, and a neighbor of the same age. His family was hiding his crimes, but when the neighbors got involved, they called the police. The killer then confessed that he had taken the babies to the park and hit them with a brick till death. D. Kempamma, or Cyanide Mallika, was a woman who was accused of killing seven women. She is India’s first convicted female serial killer. Kempamma used to connect women with lower-middle-class women, befriend them, and comfort them for their family issues. And after building up the trust, she used to call them to the temple with their best clothing and best jewelry and give the Cyanide (poison) in the name of ‘holy water.’ The purpose of these murders was to rob the belongings of the victim. She got arrested in 2007 for killing seven women.
4: Devendra Sharma
Devendra Sharma, or Doctor Death, an Ayurvedic Doctor by profession, was a serial killer. He killed around 40 drivers in the span of two years. And the purpose of killing was only to steal their vehicles. He killed drivers for all vehicles, trucks, cars, taxis, etc. He got arrested in 2004 in Gurgaon, Uttar Pradesh, and confessed that he was also involved in almost 100 murders indirectly. They used to kidnap children to save themselves from being caught. Their mother died while the case was running, while the two sisters got arrested. Mohinder was a wealthy businessman of Noida, and his domestic helper Surinder Koli used to bring girls from a village to his employer. They both got arrested in 2006 after several human skeletons were found in a drain in Nithari, Noida. CBI registered a total of sixteen cases against Koli for abduction, rape, and murders. And Pandher was also accused of immoral trafficking. The case is still in process, and Koli was sentenced to death.
9: Mohan Kumar
